My first car: A ‘91 Mitsubishi Eclipse. (My actual car is not pictured)
2000: I was 15 and had a restricted license. My parents bought this so I could get my sister and I to and from school. It spewed smoke, was dented to hell and the speakers were blown, but it’s better than nothing, right?
When I was a wee-lad I desperately wanted an Eagle Talon. (Same car as the Eclipse) I don’t know why, I just wanted one. When I was 17 I finally bought one. It was a momentous occasion for teenage me. It was a Red 91 Eagle Talon - Just like that one. (Except cooler because it was a Talon)
2 years later my Dad & I spent the summer converting it to a Turbo version. We spent everyday together for 3 months swapping, building and tinkering. He passed away a few months later. Today it sits proudly in my garage. A reminder of that awesome summer.
